3D printing

FDM, resin, MJF PA12, and metal, from a first article to a volume order.

  • $30 print minimum.
  • FDM: PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, ASA-GF, TPU, and nylon PPA-CF. Resin: ABS-like, frost clear, full clear, rubber-like, and high-temperature.
  • MJF: PA12 natural, PA12 black, and glass-bead reinforced. Metal: 316L, 17-4PH, 18Ni300, AlSi10Mg, 6061, Ti6Al4V, CuCrZr, Inconel 718, and CoCrMoW.
  • Multi-color FDM is available by email quote.
  • Large parts are welcome. Send the size.

3D scanning

Need to reverse-engineer a part that has no drawing? We scan it, clean the mesh, and deliver the file, or take it straight to a prototype.

  • $175/hour, 1-hour minimum.
  • Deliverables: STL, OBJ, PLY, 3MF.
  • Volumetric accuracy 0.04 mm + 0.06 mm/m. Resolution down to 0.05 mm.
  • 5MP full-color texture when you need it.
  • Blue laser and infrared scanning handles dark and reflective parts, with no markers needed.
  • Example on this page: a worn spur gear scanned, rebuilt as CAD, and checked against the mesh (±0.5 mm).
  • The display mesh on this page is reduced for web viewing. Files are provided in full resolution.

Design

CAD modeling

A napkin sketch, a photo, or a sample on the counter is enough to start. We model for manufacture, not just for a pretty render.

  • 3D and 2D from a sketch, picture, or physical sample.
  • Modeled for the prototype and for later volume orders.
  • You get files you can print yourself or use for a volume run.
  • No CAD yet? Generate a starting STL from a text description, then we can refine it.
  • Every job is different, so we quote after a short conversation.

Test the prototype, then order a short run of the same part. How we produce the volume lot is our job — you get parts that match the approved sample.

  • Typical lots of 10–100 pieces.
  • Starts from a 3D-printed prototype you have already tested.
  • Same geometry as the signed-off part.
  • Quoted after the prototype is approved. Not in Instant quote.

When the prototype is proven, we can supply hundreds of the same part. One point of contact from the first article through ongoing supply.
